SEED (Sustainable Empowerment through Economic Development) Livelihood Network is the international livelihood ministry of the Free Methodist Church USA. We use global partnerships to create local livelihoods for people who may not have other opportunities in their local settings.
(As part of the worldwide family of Free Methodist churches, we are included under FMC-USA’s 501(c)3 tax-deductible donation status. If you are looking for us on GuideStar or similar, please look under FMC-USA.)
SEED’s goal is that groups will create ongoing, long-term sustainable business ventures; we want to partner in creating independence, not dependence. We work hard to affirm and empower the gifts, skills, and experiences people already have: we don’t start or manage the group, they start themselves. Our primary focus is on the economics of a community, relying on the local churches to provide venues for worship, spiritual growth, and outreach. We aim to work with groups that encourage, support, and hold accountable their members so that all can develop well.
There are many ways to partner with us:
- Champions to represent SEED and livelihood efforts in local communities
- Resellers to do ongoing product sales in their own areas
- Host a table at a church, retreat, conference or other setting
- Host a SEED trunk show in your home, school, business, or community
If any of these pique your interest, fill out our Contact Form so we can follow up with you.
