Amparo subdivision is one of the biggest subdivisions of Caloocan City, Philippines. The rich in this subdivision oppress the poor by charging high rent in an area where many do not have sustainable income. The poor women of Amparo (and beyond) Free Methodist Church with their families empowered with integrity, unity and creativity are provided access to livelihood projects and basic commodities to improve their quality of life and sustainable future.
In 2011, SEED supporters showed their solidarity with these women by raising funds for pigs and pigpens. The women in this group in Amparo are putting 5 percent of every sale to purchase pigs for other poor families in Amparo, Manila, and rural Luzon.
